Modal Solver¶
A modal solver determines the effects of vibration on a geometry, and determines the frequencies at which the component will naturally resonate.
A modal solver has the following inputs:
SS: a solver settings block
C: the components to perform the simulation on (from a component block)
R: restraints (from a restraint block). If no restraint is specified, the solver will compute modes and frequencies for Free-Free vibration.
F: the number of frequencies to calculate
SM: solver mode boolean, by default false requires manually pressing “solve” and true automatically solves after changing any input upstream.
